Trust your Wedding Photographer

The day of your wedding will live in your heart & mind forever. You have (or will) spend hours deciding on the best vendors to work with to make your dream a reality. Everything from the venue to catering, the DJ, and most importantly your photographer.

As with anything big, trust is a key ingredient to any successful relationship. You don’t get married every day (and hopefully only once!) so it is especially important for you to have a good relationship with your wedding photographer.

Afterall, we spend more time with you on your wedding day than your fiance!

While you may have a vision of how you want some of your images to turn out, you are going to have to put a lot of trust in your photographer because they are the ones behind the camera. Trusting your photographer in these 5 areas will result in better images for you to remember your big day.

Plus, it will relieve some stress as well – and none of us want our bride more stressed on her wedding day!

So be confident that you have hired professionals to help you with your day and trust us – this is our job after-all 🙂

5 Things to Trust Your Wedding Photographer With on your Wedding Day

1.Choosing the location for your portraits

As your wedding photographer I have taken the time to familiarize myself with your ceremony and reception locations to find the best places to photograph. I always look for the best light, composition, a little privacy, and where the best scenery will be for the time we have set aside.

2. Time of day to shoot

Lighting is key to creating beautiful images and working with the natural light of the sun will produce the best lighting setting. Your wedding day is full of timelines and some things need to happen at a certain time such as your ceremony or dinner. As your photographer, I know what time of day will work the best to get those gorgeous outdoor shots you want. That’s why I work with you to create a personalized Wedding Day Timeline that will help us seamlessly capture the big moments and work in the portraits at the best times possible.

3. Poses

Trust your wedding photographer to know what pose is the most flattering for you. I always take your ideas into consideration and love to try new things, and have a few go-to poses that I know will create great results. You can relax knowing that I will capture you and your spouse having fun, laughing, and smiling from the most flattering angles.

4. Editing

One of the reasons professional photography costs more is because of the hours I spend editing each photo. I know which images will look best in black and white, how to best crop them, and which ones to add special filters or artistic affects to and create true works of art. I want each image to be stunning, and that takes a lot of time. I have my colorful, natural-looking style dialed in so you know exactly what to expect and all your photos will look gorgeous when displayed together.

5. Printing

I have spent decades testing different printing labs to find the best options for my clients. The worst thing you can do is have a stunning image, order a large print, and receive one where the colors are off or the quality looks cheap. This frequently happens with prints at WalMart or Walgreens because their printers are not correctly calibrated and don’t have the quality materials that a professional lab does. They cost a little more, but your images will last a lifetime. So included in all of my prices are custom wall art design and consultation, professional album design, and save the dates or thank you cards. Trust me, printing pictures is a big deal, you can’t enjoy them in a folder on your computer after all!!

Hope these tips help calm some nerves and make it easier to plan your special day – cheers to all the happy couples starting their lives together!
